For families planning ahead

If you are an adult child helping a parent, you are not alone. This is one of the most caring things a family can do together.

Starting the conversation

Talking about the future can feel awkward. It often helps to keep it practical and kind. Some families say something like, "I would love to know where things are, so I can help if you ever need me to." Others let our team start the conversation, since a friendly outside voice can make it easier.

Your parent stays in charge

We work for the person whose accounts they are. Your parent decides what goes in the plan, who can see it, and when. We are patient, we explain things in plain words, and we never rush.

Ways you can be involved

  • Join the planning visit in person, or by phone if you live out of town.
  • Be named as a legacy contact on Apple, Google, or Facebook.
  • Know where the password book or password manager emergency access is kept.
  • Help keep the plan current after big changes, like a new phone or a move.

If you live far away

Many families we help are spread across the country. Our team works in person across the Denver metro and can keep you in the loop by phone or email, with your parent's permission.

We are a technology help company, not a law firm. We do not give legal, tax, or financial advice, and this plan does not replace a will, trust, or power of attorney. We are glad to work alongside your estate attorney, financial advisor, or executor so your digital plan fits with the rest of your estate plan.

Call us, and we will listen first. There is no pressure and no rush. We will talk about what you have, who you trust, and what would bring you peace of mind.

Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Please never email passwords. We go over sensitive details in person.
